We are leaving our comfortable home and beautiful city, Portland, Oregon, for Asunción, Paraguay. Our family of four is moving from public US schools to a private international school. I’m not proud to say I had to reference a map of South America to see exactly where Paraguay is located. The opportunity to work and live abroad literally came knocking at our door, an opportunity for adventure, learning and cultural exchange that could not be ignored. I hope to engage with the global community through the exchange of language, food, art, teaching and learning!¡Vamos a Paraguay!
If you need to reference a map…Paraguay is located in the heart of the continent of South America and is bordered by Brazil, Bolivia, and Argentina; and Portland. Oregon is above the 45th parallel in the heart of the Pacific Northwest, on the border of Washington State.
